Habitat for Humanity Visit
13th March 2018
We were very lucky this morning to have a visit from our friends, Victoria and Joyce. They do lots of hard work for their charity, Habitat for Humanity. We listened carefully to the story of The Three Pigs and looked carefully at the materials the three houses were made from. We decided that it would be a good idea to use bricks to make houses because they were so strong.
We then looked at lots of new houses in Africa, which were built due to funding from Habitat for Humanity. They were built from using lots of strong materials, such as bricks. We also learned that Habitat for Humanity have a reuse and recycle shop in Lisburn where we can buy furniture and household items. Have a look at our photos!
