St Colmcille's Nursery School is a modern two unit, purpose built Nursery School. It is situated near St Colmcille's Primary School and adjacent to the Flying Horse and Model Farm estates. The school was opened in 1980 and is a bright pleasant building. It is well equipped and was planned to provide maximum opportunity for both indoor and outdoor play in an ideal learning environment, which is safe, stimulating and inviting.

The addition of a fully equipped Parents Room, a traditional Irish Cottage and a large covered area for outdoor play in any weather, have helped to expand the facilities which enhance the all-round development of the children. 

As a Catholic Nursery School we see our role as one of complementing the home and helping parents in the Christian education of their child. Parents are encouraged to take an active interest in their children's education and are always welcome to visit at any time. The school aims to encourage each child to develop fully every aspect of his/her growth by offering a stimulating and varied curriculum in a supportive and caring environment.
